A totally random post here. But I had to share with you the World's Longest Worm. We saw it the other day when we were waving goodbye to Dada.
Just look at that thing. It was pretty cool.
And, yes, we are in pajamas and our hair is not brushed. Wanna make something of it?

"I like chocolate!"
Really, Sadie? I never would have guessed, seeing as how you ask me for chocolate at least once a day.
"Piece of chocolate?" she says hopefully. "I like chocolate!"
Here she is, enjoying some of Mama's chocolate truffle birthday cake.
And it seems she likes fairy lights as well.

Phew!
So we have weathered our first Holiday Market. Which went well. I can't wait until next year, when we will have more opportunities to participate.
But the one nice thing about it being over is that we can relax. The blog will be updated, homemade bread will be risen (rose?), the child won't be stuck in a box filled with styrofoam for entertainment.
What?
Oh yeah, some soap supplies came in a box with styrofoam peanuts. And Sadie actually let me do some stuff for 45 minutes and played by herself in the box. Well, except for the occasional call for me to rescue a cat or dog or person who managed to escape her clutches and fall to the floor.
I even took some pictures for your viewing pleasure:

I know...
OK, OK, I know. I have been incredibly lax about posting. It's just that we are so busy. And there is so much to be done. And I'm lazy.
If you all chip in for a babysitter to entertain Sadie that would help. Maybe they could distract her from her current occupation of pulling on my arm and saying Mommy all done. Mommy all done typing. All done typing. ALL DONE TYPING. MOMMY ALL DONE TYPING.
Lordy me.
That girl can repeat herself incessantly.
Anyway, remember when you were young and you would be helping mom bake? Remember how that unsweetened chocolate smelled SO good that there was no way you could imagine it wasn't actually tasty?
So you tasted it. And it was bitter and awful.
But it smelled just like chocolate!
So the next time you tasted it again.
But it was still awful.
But somehow the dream persisted. One day it would taste good because it smelled just like chocolate, dang it!
But it never did.
Well, welcome to childhood, Sadie.
And, yes, she tried the unsweetened cocoa powder 3 times. Three. Because she knew it was chocolate and she would smell it and simply have to taste it.
Finally I took pity on her and gave her some chocolate chips.

The Many Faces of Sadie
We were sitting at the table today discussing cow boo-boos, Monsieur Bird, Laddie cookies, moin (more) cheese, and other important items in the life of a toddler, when I decided it would be a good time to take some pictures.
Sadie is always moving and running and refusing to look at me when I have the camera. But this time she humored me, the little squirt.
Take a look at all those faces.

Vote Early, Vote Often.
Sadie helped me out with this whole voting thing. We do it by mail in these parts. I always thought it was anticlimactic, but now with the reports of the lines people are standing in to vote I am suddenly glad we do it this way.
Don't forget to vote, folks! It's your civic duty.
Unless you're voting for McCain. Then you can forget. The polls are probably really crowded and hot, you'd better just relax today. Take a load off and such.
I'm sure they'll let you vote tomorrow.
Ha ha. I love you anyway.
The other day someone on TV said Barack Obama. Sadie heard and has since been saying Backomama. I'm finding it very entertaining.
