At the Park

Here are some pictures of Sadie at the playground and in the yard. I can't believe how big she's getting! She's adding new words every day. In the past 2 weeks she's added: toes, elbows, circle, apple (pineapple), puppy, boat, car, wawa, bowl. That's all I can think of right now.

Oh, and sadie HATES swings, it seems. Every time we go to the park I put her in them and she gets upset and wants out immediately. Check out the pic below.

Week of 3-16-08 pictures

Here are a few pictures of Sadie. Sorry I have been so awful about keeping up. I am working on getting some videos going too.

Dancing II: Reggae Boogaloo

Another dancing video. This girl just loves to dance.

Bubbles!

Sadie learned the word "Bubble." And since she LOVES bubbles she says it all the time. I've had to hide all the bubble containers or she spots them and yells.
She has to do them herself, you see. And although she's managed to make a bubble a couple of times it is a messy experience and not one I feel like doing 5 times a day. It is very cute, though, she knows how to blow.
Here are some pictures of her outside with bubbles from her fancy old bubble machine!

Dancing Queen

My baby loves to dance.
I love to put on music and dance and sing with her. It's our favorite thing to do when Daddy's not home.
Today we put on some music from all sorts of genres. Here's one I knew she would like, and she did, just watch. Oh, and excuse the occasional nasal vocal by yours truly, made even better by the sinus infection I am getting over. You're just lucky I didn't sing the whole thing- I could have!

Meeeooooowwww!

Sadie can meow. She meows when she sees the cats, when we ask her about cats, when there are pictures of cats. She loves to meow. And when you ask her what other animals say- guess what she says?
Find out below:

Let it Snow!

We had snow. Five inches of it! So I got to bundle the baby up and go outside and play. Laddie was the most excited of all. He hasn't seen a lot of good snow in a yard he can run around in since Vermont. He was having a blast and even escaped down the street- but came back to me, and for those of you who have played Laddie's fun game "You Can't Catch Me!" you know how thankful I was.
Pictures of Sadie's first snow:

Daddy raking the snow. No, of course we don't have a snow shovel! Eugene and Springfield don't even have plows.

A girl and her bike

Hey, it's not raining, so we are doing our best to go outside. Even though the ground is frozen and it's cold. And yes, I know I get no sympathy from you east coasters since y'all are freezing your butts off.
So, outside. We took her trike out again today and took pics along the way. I will just say that Sadie ABSOLUTELY LOVES this bike. LOVES!
And no, I am not a horrible mother: I kept putting her mittens on but that sneaky baby has learned how to take them off.
Enjoy the pics.

Operator

Sadie is a big fan of all things being a phone. Including, erm, the phone. Here she is "talking" on the phone.

And for those of you who weren't thoroughly bored by the first video I present more of the same!

Puppy Love

A girl and her dog, and cats. Can you beat it? Sadie LOVES the pets and they (sometimes) love her. Prudence gets all attacky but why does she come out and rub all over Sadie? She tries to get Sadie to pet her but is surprised when her tail ends up yanked. Somewhere down deep Prudence likes her, it seems.
Here she is giving Prudence hugs:

And the dog... You know we have the sweetest dog on Earth. Here she is hugging him and here is a video that is a testament to how awesome and sweet our Laddie is:

Clingiest Baby In Town

Sadie has been soooo clingy. You'd better not put her down or you'll be in trouble! You'd better not leave the room! Especially Daddy. Sadie gets really mad when Daddy leaves. She's constantly hanging and whining and trying to get UP UP UP. Of course, she has been sick so that doesn't help. But they say separation anxiety can kick in right. about. now. And it is.
So these are our views of Sadie these days:

A selection of pics from Christmas and Birthday

Thank you all for your hospitality, warm birthday wishes and awesome presents!
We miss you!

One Year Old!

We had a little celebration yesterday for my baby who isn't a baby so much anymore. I made carrot cakes for everyone and here are the videos of her eating it.

Sadie loves her balloons:

Walking again!

So as many of you know Sadie regressed after our trip and stopped walking. She started again. Sunday 12/2. And now she's trucking everywhere! I don't think she'll forget this time.
Here are the videos from that night:

Worst. Christmas Festival. Ever.

We went to a festival billed as a Winter Fairy Festival. It was seriously the worst put together thing I've ever seen. Every station was just a children's pool filled with something and named a "sea" or "ocean." It was so bad that we laughed until we cried, and then we took pictures.
The fairies, by the way, were a group of 3 teenage girls who walked around gossiping, wearing jeans and fairy wings.
But it was to benefit some kid thing or other so we bought some tokens as donations.

Sadie in the "Lollipop Land."

Sadie in the "North Pole." Note the broom and dustpan left right there. Sure, this is a safe area for kids! Plus, all that delicious styrofoam I saw the kids eating.

The "Ice Cream Sea." I think this needs no description.

Sadie as an elf!

Thanksgiving

So there's not too many pics. But we wanted to show you Sadie's potato mustache. She loved the food, especially potatoes.
Dinner was delicious, the company was wonderful. Fun!

And now I am done posting for the night! Look below and you will see many other posts. I am making up for all those times you came here looking for a Sadie fix and I denied you!

Boxy Lady

I got a mixer for my birthday. Yes, finally, my much wished-for mixer. Now I can bake the organic bread I buy for Sadie and save $4/week. And my bagels that I baked a few weeks ago will be much better kneaded.
Anyway, here is a video of Sadie enjoying the box it came in.
